The UAE Cabinet has confirmed the upcoming public and private sector holidays for 2025.

With a twelve-day holiday schedule confirmed for this year, these dates are worth saving so you can plan ahead for your teams and your own leave dates.

UAE public holidays in 2025: Confirmed holidays

🔹January 1st: New Year’s Day

🔹Ramadan 29 to Shawwal 3: Eid Al-Fitr (3 days*)

🔹Dhu Al Hijjah 9: Arafah Day (1 day)

🔹Dhu Al Hijjah 10 to 12: Eid Al-Adha (3 days)

🔹Muharram 1: Hijri New Year (1 day)

🔹Rabi’ Al-Awwal 12: Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday (1 day)

🔹December 2nd: National Day (1 day)

🔹December 3rd: National Day holiday (1 day)

Lastly, Ramadan is expected to begin around Friday 28th February or Saturday 1st March and end on Sunday 30th March or Monday 31st March. Under UAE Labour Law, working hours are reduced by two hours each working day during the holy month. The two hours apply to all employees, irrespective of if they are Muslim or non-Muslim.
